Founded in 1981 as MTS Productions and later incorporated as Artistic Concepts Group, Inc (2000), the company has been headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia since inception and has long served the greater Washington, DC metropolitan region. The company was built on a foundation of creative vision and technical excellence in lighting, sound, staging, and theatrical systems, initially supporting performances and events before expanding into permanent installations and institutional work.

Early contributions from Mike Macario and long‑term leadership by Laura Keith-Macario shaped ACG into one of the region’s most respected theatrical systems providers. Under Laura’s leadership, the company expanded deeply into public education and institutional markets while maintaining strong relationships with professional and regional theaters.

In 2025, ownership transitioned to Caleb Wood (President) and Shannon Kegley (Vice President, Finance & Administration). This transition preserved ACG’s legacy while introducing renewed emphasis on operational rigor, financial discipline, and scalable growth. Client relationships, technical standards, and company culture remained intact, paired with modernized management systems and clearer strategic focus.

Today, ACG delivers end‑to‑end services including system design and installation, inspections, maintenance contracts, rentals, demonstrations, and experiential support from its Chantilly facility.

The team is highly credentialed:

• Two ETC commissioning technicians

• Two OSHA 30–certified staff

• OSHA 10 certification required for all employees within six months

• Multiple CTS and Q‑SYS certifications (including CTS‑D)

• ETCP Theater Rigging certification

• One Master Electrician

• Three certified motor repair technicians

• First Aid and CPR certification for all staff
